Private Online Tai Chi Lessons

Tai chi (Chinese: 太極; pinyin: Tàijí), short for T'ai chi ch'üan or Tàijí quán (太極拳), is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for both its defense training, its health benefits, and meditation. The term taiji is a Chinese cosmological concept for the flux of yin and yang, and 'quan' means fist.

The creators truncated the traditional family-style Taiji forms to 24 postures; taking about six minutes to perform and to give the beginner an introduction to the essential elements of Taijiquan, yet retain the traditional flavor of traditional longer hand forms (in general, 88-108 postures) Dr. Gradel is offering classes online through the duration of the COVID-19 Pandemic. 

Private Online Qigong Lessons

Qigong practices performed daily can help manage feelings of depression and anxiety. Qigong is a mind-body practice originating in China that focuses on aligning breath, movement, and awareness for exercise, healing, and martial arts training, extends back more than 4,000 years. Dr. Gradel is now offering online classes to help you maintain your health at home during the duration of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Coming Soon- Stretching; Why, When ,How.

There are alot of myths and lore about stretching out there in the sports and recreation community. It is no wonder that most of us are left wondering is it even necessary. 

This Class will focus debunking some myths about stretching and demonstrate that there is a time and place for each type of stretch ( yes there are types of stretches) that if done correctly can help improve your athleticism, prevent injury, and even be used to treat injuries. 

Holistic Health Fair

Sarah of Sacred Rose Medicinals is hosting a regional holistic health fair.  This is a great opportunity to discover the amazing community of providers in the region and ask questions. 

Many practices will be represented. 

StoneWater 's Elements of Movement Series- 6:00pm- 7:00pm First 4 Fridays in AUGUST 2019

Mobility and Stability are the core to proper movement. If there is an imbalance of the joint such as the joint has lost range of motion or is the body is unable to maintain stability often proper movement can not be achieved and the likelihood of injury increases. 

The balanced movement series will walk you through how to identify imbalances in your own movement as well as address those imbalances with strengthening or mobility exercises to help you take your fitness to a higher level. 

The Series will be broken into four parts:

                                 Introduction and Identifying movement imbalances 

                                 Upper body movement

                                 Lower body movement

                                 Foot and Ankle Movement

 

During each class we will take time to check our movement, apply the concepts, and ask questions. 

The goal of each class is to give you simple movement exercises that you can incorporate into your routine to help improve you movement quality. 

La Lache League @ The Kula Center

August 10th from 1:00 -3:00 pm 

The Kula Center will be host and an information and donation drive for the La Lache League of Indiana. 

The mission of La Leche League is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.

La Leche League is an international, non-profit, non-sectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

La Leche League is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. All contributions are tax deductible to the extent provided by the law.
